This has proven beneficial on several occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) <strong>IAIR <\/strong>participates in the <strong>IATA <\/strong><em>Pension Committee<\/em>. We are represented by two qualified individuals, a <em>Primary Representative<\/em> and an <em>Alternate<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3) Through our participation in the <strong>IATA<\/strong><em><strong> <\/strong>Pension Committee<\/em>, we have access to individual <strong>IATA <\/strong>administrators of the <em>DB Pension Plan<\/em> to review information and to voice retiree issues as applicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4) Conditional access to reduced air fares and other travel industry discount opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5) The <strong>IAIR <\/strong>Board benefits from its association with other Canadian retiree organizations including membership of the Canadian Federation of Pensioners (CFP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6) Issuance on application to <strong>IATA <\/strong>(through <strong>IAIR<\/strong>) for an <strong>IATA <\/strong><em>Retiree ID Card<\/em> to obtain applicable and available discount fares and services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Benefits of IAIR Membership 1) IAIR maintains regular communication with IATA People, Performance and Development Department (PPD) on retiree matters.
